circa 1835, with slightly tapering 4in. barrels arranged in a triangular fashion, carved side-ribs, Birmingham proofs, large oversized circular nipple-guard with aperture for the nose of the dolphin form central hammer, engraved boxlock action with radiused edges and signed ''SMITH' on the left and 'LONDON' on the right, sliding safe to top-tang (incomplete), guarded trigger and finely chequered walnut bag-shaped butt (smoothed) with white-metal butt-cap
